No. GTA 6 has not been announced for Nintendo Switch 2. It launches on November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only.
What Take-Two has said
Take-Two’s August 7, 2026 earnings release lists GTA VI for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The same list shows Switch 2 for another Take-Two game, NBA 2K27, so Switch 2 is a platform the company already releases on. It is not listed for GTA VI.
In November 2024, before Switch 2 was revealed, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick was asked about Nintendo’s next console on an earnings call. As GamesRadar reported, he said Take-Two supports successful platforms and told people not to count Nintendo out. He also said Take-Two had no product announcements to make. He did not mention GTA 6.
What Nintendo has said
In October 2026, Nintendo of America president Devon Pritchard was asked about GTA 6 on Switch 2 in an interview with Variety. As Kotaku reported, she said it is a matter for Take-Two and Rockstar, and that she had nothing to announce.
What Rockstar games are on Switch 2
Kotaku noted that GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition can be played on Switch 2, while GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 are not on the console. See where to play older GTA games.
Beware of “GTA 6 Switch 2” offers
There is no official Switch 2 version. Any download, cartridge listing or “beta” claiming to be GTA 6 for Switch 2 is fake. Our platforms and requirements guide lists the consoles you need.
What we don’t know yet
