The Banshee is a fast, striped sports car in GTA San Andreas, modelled on the first Dodge Viper. You can find it in all three cities.

- Los Santos, San Fierro, Las Venturas
The Banshee is one of the longest running cars in Grand Theft Auto. PC Gamer traces it back to GTA 3 and notes it has appeared in every GTA game since, calling it the best car in the series. IGN’s San Andreas guide describes it as super fast and super sporty, with a stripe down the centre.
Design
PC Gamer says the San Andreas Banshee goes back to the look of the first generation Dodge Viper RT/10, the same car that inspired the GTA 3 version. Even though San Andreas is set years before GTA 3, the car looks largely the same in both games. A neat touch from IGN: you can change the colour of the stripe at a Pay ‘n’ Spray.
Where to find it
IGN lists the Banshee in all three cities:
- San Fierro: Calton Heights and Paradiso
- Los Santos: Rodeo, Market and Richman
- Las Venturas: The Strip, Prickle Pine and the Old Venturas Strip
Exports and Imports
The Banshee is on the third list of the Exports and Imports side job, which opens after Cesar’s mission Customs Fast Track. You deliver the cars on a blackboard to a ship at Easter Basin in San Fierro, and the less damage, the bigger the payout. IGN says it is very common all over Las Venturas, so it is one of the easier cars on that list. Once a car has been exported, IGN says you can buy it back at a discount from the same blackboard on certain days.
How it handles
IGN says the Banshee and the Bullet control in a very similar way, and the two are easy to mix up because both carry that centre stripe. PC Gamer adds that fitting nitrous to a San Andreas Banshee is a sight to behold, and recalls stealing one on the highway into Las Venturas early in the game.
