The Bandito is a small sand buggy with a single door and no license plate. IGN’s vehicle guide is a fan: it compares the Bandito to a water skipper, gliding over the rockiest ground where other cars would struggle.
How to get it
IGN says there are other Bandito buggies in the world, but the reliable way to drive one is through Helena, one of CJ’s optional girlfriends. GamesRadar’s dating guide explains how to meet her:
- Helena practises shooting on the roof of the Ammu-Nation in Blueberry, out in the countryside.
- She is hard to impress. She wants a skinny CJ with high sex appeal before she will agree to a date.
- Dates start from her farmhouse. She likes restaurants and drives around her farm at a normal speed.
Once your relationship reaches 50 percent, both IGN and GamesRadar say you get the keys to Helena’s Bandito. Her other gifts include access to the weapons in her shed and, at 100 percent, the rural outfit.
IGN’s best vehicles guide says Helena’s Bandito is parked right outside her door at her farm. It also lists a beach in San Fierro and the small desert camp you visit during Mike Toreno’s mission Interdiction as places to find one, and IGN’s vehicle list notes the Bandito appears in race tournaments.
How it handles
According to IGN, the Bandito’s strength is rough terrain. It has great grip, good suspension and plenty of speed, which makes it a good pick for the hills of Red County and Flint County.
