GTA Online crews
A crew is a group of players with its own name, tag and emblem, made on Rockstar's Social Club. You can be in up to five crews and lead one. The crews below say how to get in: some are open, some want an application, and many run their lobbies through Discord.

How crews work
- ConfirmedCrews are created on the Rockstar Games Social Club website, and you can lead only one crew at a time. Rockstar Support
- ConfirmedYou can be a member of up to five crews at once, but the leader of only one. Rockstar Support
- ConfirmedIf you are in more than one crew, you choose in game which crew you represent when playing online (your active crew). Rockstar Support
- ConfirmedCrew invites wait on the My Crews page of the Social Club website, where you accept them. Rockstar Support
- ConfirmedTo leave a crew, open Crews then My Crews on the Social Club website, open that crew's menu and choose Leave Crew. Rockstar Support
- ConfirmedCrew names are permanent and must be unique; a different name means creating a new crew. Rockstar Support
- ConfirmedCrew tags do not have to be unique, so several crews can share the same tag. Rockstar Support
- ConfirmedPlayer-made crew tags use four characters; three-character tags were created by Rockstar. Rockstar Support

- Crew leaders can give members ranks, shown as a bar under the crew tag in the crew's colour; members start at the lowest rank, Muscle. Newswire

Not announced Crews in GTA 6
Rockstar has not said anything official about crews in GTA 6. Every crew on this page plays GTA Online on GTA V.
Common questions
Can I be in more than one crew?
Yes, up to five, and you can lead one of them. The one you pick as your active crew in game gets your crew XP and shows its tag next to your name.
Do I need Discord to join a crew?
Not for the crew itself: invites go through the Social Club. Most crews here use Discord to plan lobbies and take applications, so expect to join it too.
Are business and grinding crews safe?
They set rules against killing members and destroying their cargo, and remove anyone who breaks them. Each crew page lists its own rules. We leave out crews that offer money drops, modded accounts or car trading.
Crews are run by their own players; TotalGTA is not affiliated with any of them. Emblems are each crew's own, shown from its Discord. Details come from each crew's own pages and Discord, checked on November 3, 2026. Social Club crew pages need a Rockstar account to open.
