The Infernus is a fast street racer with a long history in the series. IGN’s San Andreas vehicle guide calls it one of the original top end street cars in GTA, and points out its cat like headlights.
How it handles
IGN’s best vehicles guide puts the Infernus among the fastest cars in the game. It is the car to pick when you need to cross the map quickly or make a fast getaway, because it can outrun almost anything else on the road. The trade off is handling. IGN says it is not the best choice if you want a car that corners well, so brake early for tight turns and save the full speed for long straights and highways.
Where to find it
IGN lists several areas, which its best vehicles guide describes as commercial districts:
- Los Santos: IGN says the Infernus is common here, and its best vehicles guide points to Richman.
- San Fierro and the bay: Paradiso, plus Bayside Marina.
- Las Venturas: The Strip.
Exports and Imports
The Infernus is on the first list of the Exports and Imports side job, which opens after Cesar’s mission Customs Fast Track. You deliver the cars on a blackboard to a ship at Easter Basin in San Fierro, and the less damage, the bigger the payout. IGN’s tip for the Infernus is to look around Paradiso. Once a car has been exported, IGN says you can buy it back at a discount from the same blackboard on certain days.
Related vehicles
The Turismo is the other speed king on The Strip, and IGN rates it as easier to manoeuvre. The Cheetah, Banshee and Bullet are other quick picks.
