Mitch Baker is the leader of the biker gang in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. GameSpot’s guide describes the bikers as a tough, lawless crew, and Mitch is the man at the top.
Who he is
GamesRadar explains that Big Mitch, as he is known, runs the Greasy Chopper bar, has no love for the police and provides the security for the Love Fist gig in Vice City. That link to the band is how Tommy meets him.
Role in the story
IGN’s guide notes that the biker missions are tied to the Love Fist storyline. Tommy is introduced to Mitch after finishing the Love Fist mission Love Juice, and GameSpot adds that Mitch is marked with a spade on the map. To earn his respect, Tommy takes on three jobs:
- Alloy Wheels of Steel, a checkpoint race against members of the gang to prove you can handle a motorbike.
- Messing with the Man, two minutes of causing as much chaos as possible to fill an on screen meter.
- Hog Tied, a daring motorbike jump onto the roof of the downtown Ammu-Nation to take back a bike for Mitch, then a chase home with gang vans trying to run you off the road.
GameSpot points out that these missions also sharpen your motorbike skills, and IGN adds that the last Love Fist mission, Publicity Tour, only opens up after “Hog Tied”. Finishing the set is also another step toward 100 percent completion.
Voice actor
Mitch is voiced by Lee Majors, credited in the game’s manual. GamesRadar reported that Mitch appears on the box art of the prequel Vice City Stories.
