Michael and Trevor head back to North Yankton, where a trip to a snowy cemetery turns into a gunfight with the Triads.

Bury the Hatchet takes the story back to North Yankton, the snowy state from the prologue. The opening plays out differently depending on who you pick, but the cemetery shootout is always played as Michael.
Walkthrough
- As Michael: after the opening scene, drive to the marker at Los Santos airport, then make the long trip to the cemetery in North Yankton. Walk to the back of the cemetery to find Trevor.
- As Trevor: get in the car, drive to the Sandy Shores airfield, take the plane and fly to the marker in the sky over North Yankton.
- Either way, a Triad crew arrives after the conversation. Get into cover at once.
- Three gunmen come up the stairs on the left. Take them down and pick up the assault rifle one of them drops.
- Move forward to the large stone, clear the men circling to your right, then work slowly around the left side of the church, staying in cover and watching for flankers.
- Reach your vehicle to trigger a cutscene.
- Control switches to Trevor in the plane. Fly back to Sandy Shores and land at the airfield. Remember to lower the landing gear.
Gold medal tips
- The 80% accuracy target is the hardest one. Fire short bursts from cover and only shoot when an enemy is in the open.
- Headshots come easier if you let enemies peek out first, then aim at head height before they appear.
- Do not try to rush the church. A steady advance keeps you alive and is still quick enough for the 11:00 limit.

GamesRadar lists the achievement or trophy “The Moment of Truth” as unlocked after this mission. Next up is Pack Man.
