Bayside is a small town with a marina in Tierra Robada, on the far northwest of the map. IGN places it there, and its vehicle list describes San Fierro Bay as lying to the west of Bayside, toward San Fierro. GameSpot’s 100% checklist lists the Boat School in Tierra Robada.
Boat School
The main reason to visit is the Boat School, one of four schools in the game, alongside the driving, pilot and bike schools. IGN lists five tests:
- Basic Seamanship: stop between two sets of buoys.
- Plot A Course: steer through each set of buoys without touching them.
- Fresh Slalom: a tight, timed course that IGN rates as the hardest.
- Flying Fish: launch off a ramp near the bridge and land between the buoys, with gold for anything over 65 meters.
- Land, Sea and Air: a long hovercraft course where damage costs you the most.
Medals here are based on time. IGN notes that finishing the tests unlocks three boats that are always docked at the pier next to the school, and its vehicle guide adds that a Jetmax, which it calls the best boat in the game, appears in the Bayside Marina once Boat School is done. Completing every school is part of the 100% checklist, per GameSpot.
