Bone County is the desert of GTA San Andreas. GamesRadar+ describes its sandy sprawl sitting between Tierra Robada and Las Venturas, and PC Gamer says riding through the desert west of Las Venturas makes you feel totally disconnected from civilisation. IGN notes that Bone County, Tierra Robada and Las Venturas open up after the San Fierro mission Yay Ka-Boom-Boom.
Story
The desert chapter is built around Mike Toreno and The Truth. IGN lists nine missions for Tierra Robada and Bone County: Monster, Highjack, Interdiction and Verdant Meadows for Toreno, Learning to Fly at the new pilot school, and the Airstrip missions N.O.E., Stowaway, Black Project and Green Goo. They center on Verdant Meadows, the abandoned airfield CJ has to buy for $80,000.
What’s there
- Area 69: the secret military base. GameSpot calls it the only restricted airspace in San Andreas, and straying into it brings a five star wanted level.
- Verdant Meadows: the airstrip, pilot school and later an income earning asset. It also has a unique jump in its aircraft graveyard.
- Fort Carson: a desert town with the one Bone County safehouse on IGN’s list, at $30,000.
- Hunter Quarry: IGN lists it as a Bone County asset that CJ earns by completing its quarry missions. Those open after Explosive Situation, when CJ steals dynamite from a quarry west of Las Venturas.
- Las Payasadas: a small town whose two unique jumps both involve its giant chicken statue, IGN says.
- Unique jumps: five in all, worth $2,500, at Verdant Meadows, Las Payasadas, Valle Ocultado and Arco del Peste.
- Oyster: the Bone County Oyster sits on the shore north of the Verdant Meadows airfield, near the border with Las Venturas.
