Fort Carson is a small desert town in Bone County, the sandy county that GamesRadar+ places between Tierra Robada and Las Venturas. It opens up with the rest of the desert after the San Fierro mission Yay Ka-Boom-Boom, which IGN says unlocks new safehouses in Tierra Robada and Bone County.

- Safehouse: IGN lists the Fort Carson safehouse as the only one for sale in Bone County, at $30,000. Verdant Meadows and Area 69 are in the same county.
- Fort Carson Medical Center: the town’s hospital, which IGN’s vehicle guide uses as one of its spawn points.
Mr Trenchcoat
Fort Carson also has a place in San Andreas folklore. IGN’s guide to San Andreas legends describes Mr Trenchcoat, a pedestrian rumored to be a serial killer who murdered other pedestrians. Unlike most San Andreas myths, IGN says, there is some truth to this one: Mr Trenchcoat is a real character who spawns in several places, most often in Fort Carson, though less often than ordinary pedestrians, so he can take a while to find.
He has an obsession with aliens and swears to CJ and anyone else nearby that he was abducted. IGN found no proof that he is a killer, and calls that part of the rumor a hoax. IGN links him to the game’s UFO rumors, which centered on a map hanging in the back room of the Little Probe Inn and which IGN considers most likely just a myth.
