Ganton is a district of Los Santos and the home ground of the Grove Street Families. Grove Street is here, and GameSpot’s guide refers to the Johnson home simply as CJ’s house in Ganton, which makes the district the first place most players learn their way around. IGN’s tag guide uses CJ’s house as the landmark for both of Ganton’s tags.
What’s there
- Ganton Gym: the Los Santos gym, right next to CJ’s house. IGN notes that Sweet calls CJ and sends him there after the mission Drive-Thru. Inside are a bench press, dumbbells, a treadmill and an exercise bike, and a trainer teaches new fighting moves once CJ has enough muscle. There is a daily limit on workouts.
- Binco: a cheap clothes store where nothing costs more than $100, which IGN recommends for green outfits in the gang’s colours. It opens after Nines and AKs.
- Denise Robinson: GamesRadar+ says CJ can pick up Denise from her home in Ganton between 16:00 and 06:00 once Burning Desire is done. She likes drives around Ganton and Idlewood.
- Burglar van: IGN places a black Boxville across the road from the gym, among blue houses near Denise’s place. It is the van you need to start Burglar missions.
- Tags: Ganton Tag #2 sits in the alley between the clothing store and the gym, down the road from CJ’s house by the railroad tracks.
Gang war
Ganton is part of the Los Santos turf map. IGN counts two territories here out of 57 in the city. Gang wars open up after Doberman, and holding more ground raises the income CJ can collect outside his house.
