Idlewood is a district of Los Santos close to Grove Street and Ganton. Before release, GamesRadar+ described the Rollin Heights Ballas pushing out of their Glen Park base into Idlewood, and IGN counts six gang territories in the district, among the most in the city.
What’s there
- Reece’s Hair & Facial Studio: the barber shop CJ visits in his first missions. IGN places it right next to the tattoo parlor and the Well Stacked Pizza Co., and Rockstar’s manual says Reece’s comes highly recommended.
- Idlewood Tattoos: IGN notes that it shares its set of designs with the parlor in El Corona.
- The Well Stacked Pizza Co.: across the street from the barber. It is where Ryder tries to hold up the counter in the mission Ryder, and gets chased out by a staff member with a shotgun.
- Alhambra: GamesRadar+ names this Idlewood club as Denise’s pick for dancing on a date.
- Tags: IGN lists ten Idlewood tags, the first just north of the tattoo parlor and barber, under a bridge. There is also a unique stunt jump south of the gym and clothing store near CJ’s house.
Story
Idlewood is the first stop in Tagging up Turf, the first of Sweet’s missions. Sweet drives CJ there and shows him how to spray over Ballas tags before CJ covers five more himself. In the final chapter, GameSpot’s guide notes that Grove 4 Life asks CJ to take over two territories in Idlewood. GamesRadar+ also points out that Big Smoke has moved out of Grove Street to a new home in Idlewood, inside Ballas territory.
