Vinewood is the film district of Los Santos. GamesRadar+ said plainly in 2004 that it is based on Hollywood, and pointed to the giant Vinewood sign on the hillside, a Vinewood walk of fame, and the Cathay Theatre, modeled on Mann’s Chinese Theatre. GamesRadar+ also mentioned the Beverly Hills style boutiques of Rodeo, and Rockstar’s manual places designer labels such as Didier Sachs on Rodeo Drive.

What’s there

  • The Vinewood sign: IGN’s walkthrough tells you to reach Madd Dogg’s Mansion, up in the Mulholland hills, by the winding street below the sign.
  • A Pay ‘N’ Spray in neighboring Temple. IGN uses it as the landmark for both the Temple and Vinewood tags, with the Vinewood tag northwest of it.
  • A Transfender mod garage in Temple, per IGN.
  • A unique stunt jump: IGN says to look for the white billboard with “Victim” on it and head straight ahead.

Gangs

Vinewood is mostly quiet on the gang map. IGN counts a single territory here, against seven in Las Colinas and six each in Idlewood and East Los Santos.

Story

Vinewood’s hills come up in the OG Loc strand. In Madd Dogg’s Rhymes, CJ drives up past the sign to the rapper’s mansion to steal his book of rhymes, and later in the game the same house becomes CJ’s own.
