Explosive Situation is a Syndicate job in Las Venturas. Woozie needs dynamite, and the nearest supply sits in a working quarry out in the desert.
Walkthrough
- After the cutscene, take any vehicle to the quarry and drive into the red marker. Cutting straight across the desert saves some time.
- A two minute timer starts. During the cutscene, look for the man in a black suit and a yellow hard hat. He holds the detonator, and killing him removes the timer.
- Clear the quarry workers. A Sniper Rifle from the top of the hill makes this easy, but you can also take them on up close.
- Head down the hill and climb into the Dumper on your right. Four green blips mark the dynamite crates. Drive over each crate to break it, then collect the dynamite.
- Once all four are in hand, security blocks the main exit. Get on the Sanchez and follow the markers up and out of the quarry.
- Take the dynamite to the drop point to finish.
Tips
- Look after the Dumper. If it is destroyed, the mission fails.
- If you leave the timer running, keep moving. GameSpot notes that you only have a couple of minutes for all four crates.
- The guards near the exit can also be picked off with a Sniper Rifle before you ride out.

You earn Respect and $7,000. IGN notes that the Quarry missions and the Casino Heist missions open up after this job, starting with Architectural Espionage.
