The Green Sabre is the eleventh and last mission from Sweet and closes the first Los Santos chapter. Cesar has something important to show CJ, and soon after, Sweet is caught in a Ballas ambush on his own.
Walkthrough
- Before you start, pick up body armour. IGN says it makes the mission a lot easier.
- After the opening cutscene, Cesar calls. Drive to him and stop in the red marker.
- Walk down the alley to Cesar’s car and get in to see the next cutscene.
- Drive straight to Sweet. His health bar sits in the top right corner and drops to about three quarters on the way, whatever you do.
- Stop in the marker beside Sweet and crouch behind the parked cars.
- Shoot the first four Ballas, marked with red arrows.
- A van brings three more. Pick them off as they run at you.
- The last group arrives by car and circles you while shooting. Keep firing at the car until it burns and explodes, then finish anyone left.
Tips
- Stay crouched behind the cars for the whole fight. Every wave comes to you.
- GameSpot notes Sweet is in no state to help, so do not wait for him to thin out the Ballas.
Rewards and unlocks
IGN lists Respect and the camera. The story then leaves the city for the countryside, and GameSpot warns that CJ loses all his weapons at this point. GamesRadar adds that Helena Wankstein, one of the girlfriends, can first be met at the Ammu-Nation shooting range in Blueberry, Red County, once The Green Sabre is done.
Next: Badlands.
Spoiler
The cutscene with Cesar reveals that Big Smoke and Ryder have been working with the police and the Ballas behind Grove Street’s back.
