An Old Friend is the second step of the story and is mostly a cutscene. Inside the Ocean View Hotel, Tommy gets in touch with Sonny Forelli to explain what happened with the deal. Sonny is far from pleased, and Tommy is left with a problem he has to fix. GameSpot describes it as a non interactive scene.
Walkthrough
- In the hotel lobby, walk to the glowing pink marker near the stairs.
- Watch the scene with Sonny. There is nothing to fight or chase.
- When it ends, you are free to explore. One contact is open: the L on the radar for Ken Rosenberg.
Tips
- Use the save point in the lobby before heading out, so you have a clean save at the very start of the story.
- Ken’s office is the only mission marker at this point, so there is no wrong order to worry about yet.
- Steal a car outside the hotel to reach Ken quickly. Ken’s first job also has you change clothes, so you will be driving around Ocean Beach for a while.
Rewards and unlocks
There is no cash reward. Finishing the scene opens Ken Rosenberg’s first mission, The Party.
