Autocide is the third pay phone contract from Mr. Black and opens after The Fastest Boat. This time the targets are members of a gang that Mr. Black believes is about to pull off a robbery. They have to die in a set order, against the clock. GameSpot calls it a long, timed mission and one of the more enjoyable contracts.
Walkthrough
- Answer the pay phone in Washington Beach.
- Pick up the weapons Mr. Black has left nearby. The radar shows where they are.
- Work down the list in order. The radar marks each target as it becomes active.
- Use the sniper rifle for targets you can see from a distance, such as the man on a boat.
- For the pair outside the jeweller’s in Vice Point, stay out of sight and take the driver, then the passenger.
- If a target escapes on a motorbike, chase him down and run him over or use a drive by.
Tips
- Stay hidden. A target who sees you tries to flee, which costs time you do not have.
- Avoid the police. GameSpot warns a wanted level makes the clock very hard to beat.
- The guides differ on the details: IGN lists nine minutes for the job, GameSpot eight. Plan for the shorter one.
- GameSpot’s route ends at the Cherry Popper factory, with a briefcase to grab and a Maverick to fly to the marker at the airport.
Rewards and unlocks
You earn $4,000, and Mr. Black goes quiet again for a while.
