Washington Beach

Washington Beach is the central district of the east island of Vice City, between Ocean Beach to the south and Vice Point to the north, as GamesRadar+ lays out the map.

What’s here

• The office of lawyer Ken Rosenberg, which IGN uses as a landmark for the safehouse across the road.
• 1102 Washington Street, a small save point with no garage. IGN lists it at $3,000 and GameSpot at $300, so the two guides disagree on the price.
• Links View Apartments, which IGN places in Washington Beach across from Leaf Links. GameSpot lists it at $6,000 with a one car garage.
• The Washington Mall and a police station of the Vice City Police Department.
• The bridge to Starfish Island.

Collectibles

GamesRadar+ counts 12 hidden packages here. In general terms they are around pools and pink apartment blocks, on rooftops you reach by helicopter, on the beach by a lifeguard station and the outdoor showers, under the Starfish Island bridge, at a construction site and inside the police station itself. For that last one, GamesRadar+ suggests wearing the police uniform you earn in the mission Cop Land so you don’t pick up a wanted level. IGN’s older rampage list puts rampages on the Washington Mall parking lot roof, at a pink house west of the Bunch of Tools hardware store and behind a hotel.

Story missions

• Mall Shootout: Colonel Cortez sends Tommy to meet a French agent on the upper floor of the Washington Mall, according to GameSpot.
• No Escape?: one of the Malibu Club missions. GameSpot’s walkthrough has Tommy slip into the police building in Washington Beach in disguise to break a safecracker out of the cells.

After Cop Land, GameSpot notes, the police outfit can be picked up at the Washington Beach police station.
