The Sanchez is the dirt bike of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. GameSpot’s guide describes it as fairly agile, hard to wreck and at home on dirt or sand, which makes it the bike for the off road challenges.
Where to find it
IGN says the dirt track in the northeast of Downtown has two vehicles parked at the start line: a Sanchez and a Landstalker. Climb on the Sanchez to start Trial by Dirt.
Trial by Dirt
Trial by Dirt is two laps of the dirt circuit, passing every checkpoint. There is no time limit, and IGN suggests taking it slowly so you don’t overshoot the many switchbacks. The first finish pays $100 and each new record pays another $100. Later runs add explosive barrels, then rain, and finally gang members armed with machetes.
Dirtring at the stadium
Hyman Memorial Stadium opens from 8 p.m. to midnight in game time and rotates three events. In Dirtring you ride a Sanchez around an obstacle course of hoops, planks and loops to collect 32 checkpoints with no time limit. IGN says the cash reward depends on how quickly you finish, and simply finishing counts toward 100% completion.
In the story
In Guardian Angels for Colonel Cortez, GameSpot says you hop on a Sanchez to chase down the biker who escapes with the money, and warns that its handling on the road is poor. It is also the spare bike GameSpot points to at the dirt track during G-Spotlight if your PCJ 600 gets too damaged.
