The Angel is a motorcycle in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. IGN’s 2002 review lists it among the game’s five motorcycles, and both IGN and GameSpot treat it as a near twin of the Freeway.
Handling
GameSpot’s guide describes the Angel and the Freeway as clunky bikes with a high top speed but unresponsive handling. If you want a nimble bike, GameSpot points to the PCJ 600 instead, and for dirt and sand the Sanchez.
Alloy Wheels of Steel
You meet the Angel properly in the missions for Mitch Baker, the biker gang leader that Love Fist need as security. Mitch wants proof that Tommy can ride, so Alloy Wheels of Steel is a checkpoint race against his bikers.
- Start it by talking to Mitch at the Greasy Chopper in Downtown.
- Outside, take an Angel or a Freeway. IGN says their performance is almost identical.
- Most of the route is straight road. IGN’s warning is to brake for turns, as the bike spins out if you go in too fast.
- First place pays $1,000.
Hog Tied
The last biker mission, Hog Tied, is about getting Mitch’s own bike back from a rival gang and riding it home to the Greasy Chopper. The guides we use don’t name the model of Mitch’s bike. IGN suggests landing on the rival hideout’s roof with a helicopter found up a staircase in an alley on the way, which saves a lot of time. GameSpot warns that gang vans try to run you off the road on the ride back.
Top speed
We don’t list a top speed because we haven’t found a measured or official figure from an allowed source.
