Take-Two reports its July to September results on Monday, November 9, after the US stock market closes, with a call at 4:30pm Eastern Time. It is the last report before GTA 6 launches on November 19, and it will not include a single launch sale. What matters is what Take-Two says about the next ten days.
For GTA V’s sales record and the full set of numbers from the last quarter, see our Take-Two earnings and GTA sales page. This post is about the November 9 call itself.
The date, the time and what it covers
Confirmed Take-Two announced the date on October 13. It will report results for its second quarter of fiscal 2027, which ended on September 30, 2026, after the market closes on November 9. The conference call starts at 4:30pm ET, which is 9:30pm in the UK and 10:30pm in central Europe.
Because the quarter ended seven weeks before launch, there are no GTA 6 launch sales in it. Those land in the October to December quarter, which Take-Two normally reports in early February. Not announced That date is not set yet.
What Take-Two forecast for this quarter
Take-Two gave its forecast for July to September back in August. Its slides and its finance chief, Lainie Goldstein, set it out:
| Measure | Forecast for July to September 2026 |
|---|---|
| Net bookings | $1.62 to $1.67 billion (the same quarter in 2025: $1.96 billion) |
| GAAP net revenue | $1.42 to $1.47 billion |
| GAAP net result | A loss of $140 to $157 million |
| Recurrent consumer spending | Down about 5% |
Goldstein said the quarter’s releases were NBA 2K27 and content updates for existing games, and that Take-Two expected spending inside its games to grow for both NBA 2K and the Grand Theft Auto series, with mobile down. Analysis The year-ago quarter had the launch of Borderlands 4, which she mentioned when explaining costs, so a smaller quarter before GTA 6 was always the plan rather than a sign of trouble.
So the first thing on November 9 is simple: did Take-Two land inside that range, above it or below it?
What Take-Two said about GTA 6 last time
On the August 7 call, the company’s prepared remarks were confident but gave no numbers.
- Confirmed CEO Strauss Zelnick said GTA 6 had “an exceptional start to pre-orders”. Preorders had opened on June 25, less than a week before that quarter ended.
- Confirmed He reiterated the full-year forecast of $8.0 to $8.2 billion in net bookings, citing “our high degree of confidence” in the November 19 release.
- Confirmed Goldstein said Take-Two expects roughly 37% of the year’s net bookings to come from Rockstar Games, with 34% from Zynga and 29% from 2K. She named the Grand Theft Auto series first among the biggest contributors.
- Confirmed In the question and answer part, Variety reported that Zelnick called the preorder level “unprecedented and astonishing”, while saying the company could not tell how preorders would turn into sales.
Outside Take-Two, the analytics firm Sensor Tower has said most digital preorders it tracks are for the Ultimate Edition, as TechRadar reported. Take-Two has not confirmed any split. Our editions guide compares the two.
What to listen for on November 9
These are the questions investors and players will be asking. We are not predicting the answers.
- Analysis Does the $8.0 to $8.2 billion forecast change? Keeping it ten days before launch says Take-Two is comfortable. Raising it would be the clearest official sign of how preorders are going. Lowering it would be a surprise after the August comments.
- Analysis Any preorder number at all. Take-Two has never given one. Every figure you have seen, including Sensor Tower’s, is an outside estimate. A real number, or even a comparison with GTA V or Red Dead Redemption 2, would be new.
- Analysis How it describes launch week. Listen for anything on digital versus physical sales, preloading or server readiness, since the game needs a download either way.
- Analysis GTA Online and GTA 6 online. Rockstar calls GTA 6 a single player experience and has announced no online mode. Any comment on GTA Online’s future, or on online play for GTA 6, would be news. Our single player and online post has what is confirmed.
- Analysis PC. Not announced There is no PC version. Zelnick has said Rockstar launches on console first because that is its core audience, and that PC is becoming more important. An analyst will almost certainly ask again. See Is GTA 6 on PC?
- Analysis A new GTA V figure. The last filing said GTA V had sold in over 230 million units. The new quarterly filing may update it.

Common questions
Will Take-Two reveal GTA 6 sales on November 9?
No launch sales exist yet, because the game comes out on November 19. The most it can share is preorder information, and it has chosen not to give numbers so far.
When will we get the first official GTA 6 sales figure?
Analysis Possibly within days of launch, if Rockstar or Take-Two announces a milestone as it did for GTA V in 2013. The full figures arrive with the October to December results, usually in early February. Our records post has the GTA V numbers it will be measured against.
