Ken Rosenberg

Ken Rosenberg is a lawyer based at Caligula’s Palace in Las Venturas, and he is deep in trouble with the mob. He becomes CJ’s inside contact at the casino while CJ helps Woozie deal with the families muscling in on his business.

Who he is

CJ meets him at the end of “Don Peyote”. After rounding up Kent Paul and Maccer, CJ drives them to Caligula’s, where IGN’s guide says you are introduced to “Rosie”, your new inside contact. GameSpot’s guide adds that Kent Paul then calls CJ with work on Ken’s behalf, and Rosenberg’s office in the casino becomes the starting point for those missions. GameSpot also enjoys the joke that a mission from a lawyer has CJ chasing ambulances.

Role in the story

Rosenberg is stuck between several crime families, and his missions show it. In “Intensive Care” he explains his troubles with the mob, and CJ has to find the hospitalised head of the Sindacco family, who is in one of four ambulances cruising the city, and move him somewhere new. “The Meat Business” sees CJ talk Ken into meeting the mob at an abattoir, which ends in a fire and a gunfight where you have to keep Rosie alive. In “Freefall” a friend of his from Liberty City is in danger, and CJ boards a plane in mid air to stop the threat. “Saint Mark’s Bistro” also starts from his office.

Voice actor

GameSpot’s 2004 cast report explains that William Fichtner reprises the role of the lawyer Ken Rosenberg from Vice City. The game’s manual credits him as Bill Fichtner, while IGN’s cast list and GamesRadar’s 2004 preview use William.

Spoiler

After CJ takes over Madd Dogg’s mansion in “A Home in the Hills”, he gets a call from Ken and invites him to join him in Los Santos. IGN’s guide notes that Ken is happy to accept.
