High Stakes, Low Rider is the first mission from Cesar Vialpando. It is a straight checkpoint race, but you can only enter in a lowrider.
Walkthrough
- Get a lowrider. The one Cesar gave you in Cesar Vialpando works, and IGN lists others including the Blade, Remington, Slamvan, Voodoo, Broadway, Savanna, Tahoma and Tornado.
- Drive to Cesar’s marker for a cutscene.
- Follow Cesar’s car to the start and drive into the red marker to begin the countdown.
- Race five other cars through the red checkpoints. Each checkpoint has an arrow pointing to the next one.
- The race ends at Santa Maria Beach. Win to finish.
Tips
- If you have no lowrider, GameSpot says a Blade is usually parked a few doors from Cesar’s house. IGN also suggests looking around Grove Street.
- Visit a mod garage first and fit nitro. IGN says it makes the race easy.
- Use the nitro on the straights, and brake before corners rather than taking them flat out.
- GameSpot notes that once the pier comes into view, you are on the home stretch.
