The Savanna is one of the lowriders of GTA San Andreas. IGN’s vehicle guide calls it the ultimate convertible street racer, while warning that its controls are very loose, so take care in tight turns.
Where to find it
IGN says the Savanna is common in Los Santos. It also notes that you can obtain one during the vehicle theft missions.
Tuning at Loco Low Co
Lowriders have their own mod shop. IGN’s guide to the mod garages says Loco Low Co in Willowfield, Los Santos, opens after the mission Cesar Vialpando. It only accepts eight lowriders:
- Savanna
- Voodoo
- Blade
- Slamvan
- Tahoma
- Tornado
- Broadway
- Remington
At Loco Low Co you can change the body and paint, and fit hydraulics, nitrous and a bass boost.
Lowriders in the story
Lowriders play a part early in the story. In the mission Cesar Vialpando, IGN’s walkthrough explains that you are given a lowrider to take into the mod garage, then join a minigame where you bounce the car in time with the music. IGN does not name the model used in that mission.
Racing it
The first mission for Cesar, High Stakes, Low Rider, is a race that you can only enter in a lowrider, and IGN’s walkthrough lists the Savanna as one of the cars that qualify. IGN’s tip is to visit a mod shop first and fit nitro, which makes the race much easier.
How it handles
IGN rates the Savanna highly as a convertible street racer, but its loose controls mean tight turns need care.
