The Rhino is the army tank of GTA San Andreas. IGN lists it with the Jetpack, Hydra and Leviathan at the top of its special vehicles guide, and gives two ways to get one.
Where to find it
Area 69. The secret military base in Bone County keeps a Rhino. You can break into Area 69 and drive it out, but IGN warns this earns you a hefty wanted level, so be ready before you go in. IGN’s map marks the spot inside the base where the tank sits.
The 100 percent reward. Once you reach 100 percent completion, IGN says a Rhino always spawns under the bridge next to CJ’s house on Grove Street in Los Santos. It is the safer option, but it only comes at the very end of a long checklist.
Which route to take
IGN’s best vehicles guide calls the Rhino nearly impossible to destroy and full of firepower. If you want one early, Area 69 is the only choice, and IGN says you will have to fight your way out with it. If you are already chasing 100 percent, simply wait: the bridge spawn means a fresh Rhino is always a short walk from home, and you can replace it whenever it is destroyed.
Related vehicles
Area 69 also has a link to the Hydra jet: IGN’s vehicle guide lists the base as one of its locations. Other special vehicles worth collecting are the Jetpack, which IGN says can also be taken from Area 69, and the Hunter attack helicopter from the Pilot School.
