Monster opens the desert chapter. After the main San Fierro missions, a ”?” icon appears on the map at a mystery caller’s ranch in Tierra Robada. The job is a timed checkpoint race in a Monster truck.
Walkthrough
- Drive to the ”?” icon at the ranch and step into the red marker.
- After the cutscene, CJ is put in the Monster truck.
- Drive through all 35 checkpoints within 6:30. Keep an eye on the radar for the next one.
- The last checkpoint is back at the ranch.
Tips
- IGN says the time limit is generous. Steady driving is enough.
- The Monster has four wheel steering, so it turns sharply without the handbrake.
- GameSpot warns the truck is springy and flips easily over bumps. If it rolls, get it upright quickly to save time.
- Failing to finish within 6:30 means starting the race again.
