Driller is the final prep for the obvious approach to The Big Score. The crew needs a heavy drill to break into the vault, and the truck carrying it sits in a yard watched by two security guards and six workers.
Walkthrough
- Head to the marker. Bring a sniper rifle and, if you have one, a heavy rifle.
- Quick way: drive straight into the yard, take the truck with the drill and drive off. You will then need to lose the police, which takes time.
- Quiet way: climb onto the rooftop on the south side of the yard, where you can see most of the people below.
- Wait for one worker to wander over to the guard for a smoke break. Everyone is then in a good position.
- Working from right to left, take out the guard on the right, the smoker, the welder and the worker furthest away, then the guard by the western entrance and the lone worker by the far shack.
- Leave the two workers chatting by the office shack until last, since hitting one alerts the other.
- Drop down near the east exit, take both with a single heavy rifle shot lined up through the pair, then take the truck to the drop off point.
Gold medal tips
- “Sneak Thief” fails if anyone raises the alarm or the police get involved, so the quiet way is the one to use.
- Do not start shooting until the smoke break begins. IGN stresses that the timing is what makes the order work.
- Staying unseen also saves you a police chase, which keeps you inside 5:00.
