The Time’s Come is the second of the three ways to finish the story after The Big Score. In this one, the one Kotaku calls Option B, Franklin goes after Michael on his own. PC Gamer calls it the darkest of the two endings where Franklin turns on a partner. The alternatives are Something Sensible and The Third Way.
Walkthrough
- Pick this option. Franklin calls Michael to arrange a meeting at a remote spot, then asks Trevor for help. Trevor will not get involved.
- Drive to the meeting point near the satellite dishes. Michael meets you nearby.
- After the cutscene Michael runs. Chase him on foot. IGN advises not to bother shooting at him.
- Follow him along the catwalks and up the structure, dodging his shots as best you can.
- When he reaches the top of the tower, climb the ladder after him.
- A final cutscene plays out at the top, with one last prompt before the mission ends.
Rewards and unlocks
IGN does not list gold medal objectives or a payout for this ending. GamesRadar lists the achievement or trophy “To Live or Die in Los Santos” as unlocked when you complete the final mission, whichever one you pick.
Spoiler
The following reveals how this ending plays out.
At the top of the tower Franklin knocks Michael over the rail and then catches him. You are offered the choice to let go or to save him, but IGN notes that Michael falls to his death either way. The game closes with Franklin phoning Lamar to try to patch things up. Kotaku notes that later GTA Online story content shows Michael alive, which rules this ending out as the one the series follows.
