The Submersible is the mini sub in GTA 5. It is stolen in the story mission Minisub, and later it comes with the $250,000 Sonar Collections Dock.

The Submersible is a small submarine used for diving under the sea around San Andreas. You meet it during the story, and later you can keep one for exploring.
In the story
In the mission Minisub, the sub hangs from a large freighter. You can board the ship to release it, or shoot it down. IGN’s gold medal goal is No Boarding: shoot the cables holding the sub with a sniper rifle from the far side, without getting on the ship. Then dive in, pilot the sub to the waypoint, and Floyd loads it onto a truck. The gold medal time limit is 8:30.
Where to find it in Story Mode
After The Merryweather Heist, GamesRadar says the Sonar Collections Dock in Paleto Cove goes up for sale for $250,000. Buy it and a submarine is available there. PC Gamer also mentions that a submersible spawns once you own the dock.
Nuclear waste side job
With the dock bought, you can hunt for 30 nuclear waste barrels on the sea floor. GamesRadar says each barrel pays $23,000, which adds up to $690,000 for all 30, and completing it earns the Waste Management trophy or achievement. Use the Trackify app on your phone to find each barrel.
IGN notes the sub takes damage if you dive to crushing depths.
