All Hands on Deck is the fifth and last mission for Colonel Cortez. It is an escort job at sea: Cortez’s yacht is trying to leave Vice City, and French forces are set on stopping it. Tommy stands on deck with a Ruger and keeps them off.
Walkthrough
- Meet Cortez at the pier. The mission starts straight away once you board.
- Shoot the crews of the fast boats that come at the yacht.
- A line of ships blocks the way out of the harbour. Destroy them while more boats circle.
- When a helicopter arrives, make it your first target. Shoot it down before it drops men on deck.
- If you hear that the deck is being overrun, turn round and help Cortez’s men.
- Keep clearing the path until the mission ends. Tommy finishes in a speedboat.
Tips
- Come with body armour, full health and a weapon you can aim in first person.
- IGN says health and ammo keep appearing on the ramp between the decks. Go back to them often.
- The last helicopter is a military gunship. Put everything into it, moving between the sides of the boat.
- The guides count the helicopters differently: GameSpot mentions two, IGN three. Treat every one as top priority.
Rewards and unlocks
You earn $5,000. IGN suggests using the speedboat you end up in to collect hidden packages near Ocean Beach. GameSpot notes Kent Paul calls next, opening the Love Fist jobs. The story now moves on to Ricardo Diaz and Rub Out.
Spoiler
Cortez gets away. His yacht sails out of Vice City, and that is the end of his strand of the story.
Next: Rub Out.
