The Chase is the first mission for Ricardo Diaz. Diaz, a drug lord with a short temper, lives in a large mansion on Starfish Island. Someone has stolen from him, and Tommy has to find out where the thief is hiding. The key rule: follow him, do not kill him.
Walkthrough
- Drive to the D on Starfish Island and meet Diaz.
- Go to the thief’s house and step into the marker to look through his window.
- He spots you and runs to the roof. Follow him up the stairs and across the rooftops using the planks and ramps.
- He shoots at you and sets off oil drums along the way. Steer around the fire.
- At the end of the roofs he drops down and escapes in a dune buggy. Jump down and take the scooter nearby.
- Follow at a safe distance until he stops at his hideout on Prawn Island.
Tips
- GameSpot suggests parking a fast car at the end of the row of houses before you look in the window, so you have a better ride for the chase.
- The thief fires at you while driving. Keep a car between you and him when you can.
- IGN recommends staying on the Faggio because it is easy to steer through traffic.
- Be careful on the roofs. A fall costs you time and health.
Rewards and unlocks
GameSpot lists a $1,000 reward. Diaz now knows where the thieves are, which leads to Phnom Penh ‘86.
