Who he is
TechRadar describes Lester as a criminal mastermind whose disability often keeps him from carrying out his own plans, which is why he needs a crew. He is one of the best informed people in Los Santos, and he knows how to work the stock market. IGN’s guide notes that he handles the computer side of missions.
Lester has history with Michael De Santa and Trevor Philips. IGN lists him as part of the same old crew as Michael, Trevor and Brad.
Role in the story
After Michael gets himself into trouble early on, he calls Lester to set up a jewelry store job, and Lester stays at the center of every heist that follows. He also gives Franklin Clinton a series of assassination jobs, which TechRadar and IGN both mention. TechRadar adds that Lester uses the deaths of rich and famous people to make money on the stock market.
Lester also appears in GTA Online, where he passes useful information and work to players.
Voice actor
Lester is voiced by Jay Klaitz, credited by TechRadar and PC Gamer in their coverage of his interviews about GTA 6.
Spoiler
In the ending where Franklin tries to save both Michael and Trevor, the final mission starts with a visit to Lester’s house for advice, and he suggests setting up an ambush at the foundry.
