Ron, known to most players as Nervous Ron, is one of Trevor Philips’s closest associates in Blaine County and helps out with Trevor’s operations there.
Role in the story
Ron gives his name to one of Trevor’s early missions, “Nervous Ron”. IGN’s guide explains that Trevor covers Ron with a sniper rifle from a water tower while Ron scouts a gang position and plants a bomb, before the pair escape by plane and Trevor follows Ron’s flight path to drop off a package. The gold medal goals include flying under six bridges along the way.
Ron stays in contact with Trevor as the story moves on. In “Scouting the Port”, for example, Trevor sends his photographs of a ship at the docks back to Ron.
In GTA Online
Ron returns as a contact in GTA Online. Kotaku notes that once you buy an aircraft hangar in the Smuggler’s Run update, you can fly a range of new aircraft in the missions you do for Ron, which also unlock discounts on those aircraft.
Voice actor
We have not found a credit for Ron’s actor from Rockstar or a major outlet, so it is left out here.
Spoiler
Kotaku reports that a line Ron speaks in a GTA Online update indicates Trevor is still alive after the events of the story, which supports the ending where all three leads survive.
