Role in the story
Franklin’s storyline pits him and Lamar against the Ballas more than once. In the mission “The Long Stretch”, IGN’s guide explains, the two fight their way out of a building against Ballas gang members, who set it on fire, before shooting down a helicopter and escaping across the rooftops. The gold medal goals include 10 headshots and finishing within 10:30.

Spoiler
In the ending where Franklin sides with both Michael and Trevor, Stretch is one of the people the crew decides to deal with. IGN’s guide notes that Michael is assigned to kill him, that he is surrounded by Ballas members at the time, and that one gold medal goal is to kill Stretch with a melee weapon.
