Chop is the fifth story mission in Grand Theft Auto V and a Franklin mission in IGN’s story list. It takes its name from Lamar’s Rottweiler, who IGN says can later help Franklin find hidden collectibles.

What happens

IGN’s guide notes that Chop can sniff out people and items in missions, and that in this mission you briefly see the world through Chop’s eyes. That point of view is unique to this mission and is not used again later in the story.

About Chop

According to IGN, Chop spends most of the game living at Franklin’s second house in the hills, and he sometimes appears with Franklin when you switch to him. He rides in the passenger seat of Franklin’s vehicle and attacks anyone who goes after Franklin. You can play fetch with him by throwing a ball. GamesRadar lists walking and playing with Chop as one of the tasks for 100% completion.

Rewards and unlocks

The next mission, Father/Son, brings Michael and Franklin together.

Next: Father/Son.
