Catalyst
Ryder wants crates from an ammo train. Fight off rival gangs, then throw ten crates from the moving train into Ryder's car.

Catalyst is the third mission from Ryder. He has his eye on a train carrying crates of ammunition, but other gangs got there first. GameSpot splits it into three parts: the fight, the crate throwing and the getaway.
Walkthrough
- After the cutscene, drive with Ryder to the train.
- Vagos are already trying to rob it. Run one down with the car, then get out and shoot the rest.
- A car of Ballas arrives next. Take them out too.
- Walk into the red marker beside the train. CJ climbs aboard and the train starts moving.
- Ryder follows in his car. Aim at him and throw crates. The counter, throw power and time left show in the top right.
- After ten crates you have a three star wanted level. Drive to the Pay ‘n’ Spray on the radar to lose it.
- Drive back to Grove Street to finish.
Tips
- Give each throw enough power that it does not fall short. IGN notes Ryder catches anything that lands roughly near him.
- GameSpot suggests aiming slightly above Ryder’s head, and holding the throw longer when his car drops back.
- The spray shop costs $100.
