Kaufman Cabs is a taxi company in the heart of Little Haiti, run day to day by its operator Doris. IGN’s guide calls it a little gem that opens up some of the more enjoyable side jobs in the game.
Buying it
Like most businesses, it goes on sale after the story mission Shakedown. IGN lists the price as $40,000. Once its three missions are done it pays up to $5,000 a day, collected from the money pickup at the depot.
Asset missions
All three missions are about a war with the rival firm, Vice City Cabs. In IGN’s walkthrough:
- V.I.P.: collect a fare from a mansion on Starfish Island and drive them to the airport at Escobar International, while a rival cabbie tries to grab them first. $1,000.
- Friendly Rivalry: wreck three rival cabs. There’s no time limit, and IGN suggests drive by shooting. $2,000.
- Cabmageddon: a fake pickup for Mercedes Cortez at the docks turns into an ambush. Survive one minute, then take out the rival boss in his Zebra Cab. $5,000.
After Cabmageddon the Zebra Cab appears at Kaufman Cabs, and IGN recommends it for the Taxi Driver side mission.
