Auntie Poulet is Tommy’s contact with the Haitian gang in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. She lives in Little Haiti, and the game’s manual recommends a visit to her for a bit of voodoo and gumbo.
Who she is
Her jobs come with a strange twist. GameSpot’s guide hints that whenever she calls on Tommy for a favor, he may not remember much of it afterward, and that her tea has something to do with it. Her house is in Little Haiti, which the manual calls the center of Haitian life in the city, and GameSpot even uses it as a reference point for finding a Voodoo car in one of the Cuban missions.
Role in the story
IGN’s guide explains that her missions start in the middle of Tommy’s work for Umberto Robina and the Cubans. GameSpot notes that her first call comes after the Cuban mission Stunt Boat Challenge. Her three jobs are:
- Juju Scramble, racing the police to collect three stashes and bring them back to her house.
- Bombs Away!, using a remote controlled plane to attack the Cubans and their boats.
- Dirty Lickin’s, helping the Haitians from a rooftop with a sniper rifle during a big street fight with the Cubans, without being seen.
GameSpot adds that the Cubans never realize Tommy has been working for the other side. IGN warns that once both storylines are finished, the Haitians treat Tommy as an enemy for the rest of the game.
