Escobar International

Escobar International is the airport of Vice City, filling the southwest end of the mainland. GamesRadar+ lists it as its own area of the map, with a passenger terminal, hangars, a freight and cargo terminal, a fire station with an observation tower, a helipad and several runways, including a diagonal one and a curved one.

What’s here

Rockstar’s manual places the airport on the southwest side of town next to Fort Baxter Air Base, and notes that the road there runs through Little Havana.

• A Top Fun van near the southernmost entrance, which starts the RC Raider helicopter mission, according to GameSpot.
• The Baggage Handler, a vehicle IGN lists here for the last Sunshine Autos import list. GameSpot places Sunshine Autos itself north of the airport.
• The entrance to Fort Baxter Air Base, which GamesRadar+ covers in its airport section.

GameSpot recommends the airport as a good place to start vehicle side missions such as Vigilante, because its open roads are easy to drive.

Collectibles

With 14 hidden packages, Escobar International is second only to Vice Point in the GamesRadar+ count. GamesRadar+ places them on terminal and hangar rooftops, on and under parked planes, inside the terminal and by the runways. Many of the rooftop ones need a helicopter or a jump from a ramp. The 100th package in its list sits behind the stone sign at the entrance to Fort Baxter Air Base.

IGN’s older guide puts five rampages around the airport, including one on top of the terminal where you destroy vehicles with a rocket launcher and one in the main terminal on the ground floor.

Missions

• V.I.P.: the first Kaufman Cabs mission ends with a drop off at the airport.
• Loose Ends: GameSpot’s walkthrough ends this pay phone mission by flying a stolen helicopter to the airport.

Viceport lies to the east, across the road from the airport.
