Rockford Hills is the wealthy west side neighborhood of Los Santos. IGN’s guide calls it an upscale neighborhood based on Beverly Hills, and it is where Michael De Santa lives with his family.
What’s there
Rockstar leaned on the area’s glamour when it promoted the game in 2013. Its visitor’s travelogue pointed shoppers to the high street shops of Rockford Hills for jet set fashion, and listed a dream mini mansion in Rockford Hills among the housing options in the city.
The same travelogue contrasted it with the scruffier hipster scene of Hawick, which gives a sense of where Rockford Hills sits in the city’s pecking order.
Collectibles
GamesRadar+ lists three Monkey Mosaics here: one on an outside wall of the Cottage Park building, one by the armrest of a stone bench next to the fountain, and one on a wall support next to the freeway. Mosaics only appear in the PS4, Xbox One and later versions.
Story missions
- By the Book: Michael’s part of the mission starts with a drive to Rockford Hills, followed by a stop in Chumash.
- Meltdown: the mission begins when Michael buys a tuxedo at the Ponsonbys store near Rockford Hills, according to IGN’s walkthrough.
