Vinewood sign
The giant Vinewood sign in the hills above Los Santos is GTA 5's parody of the Hollywood sign, and one Letter Scrap sits on top of it.

The Vinewood sign is the huge row of white letters on the slopes of the Vinewood Hills. IGN’s guide to Los Santos uses it as the example of how the city parodies real places, calling it a send up of the Hollywood sign.
What’s there
The sign overlooks Vinewood, and The Guardian notes that you catch glimpses of it from the district’s streets below.
There is a reason to climb it as well. GamesRadar+ lists one of the Letter Scraps at the top of one of the letters, collected as soon as you reach the top. A helicopter or a careful climb up the hillside gets you close enough.
Nearby you can visit the Galileo Observatory on the same range of hills, and the hillside trails north of the observatory lead to another viewpoint with a Letter Scrap.
Story missions
We have not found a reliable source that ties a story mission to the sign itself, so none is listed here. The surrounding hills appear in missions covered on the Vinewood Hills page.
