The Leviathan is a large helicopter, and IGN lists it with the Jetpack, Hydra and Rhino at the top of its special vehicles guide. In the story it carries a magnet underneath, which CJ uses to lift a bank van.
The mission Up, Up and Away!
You first fly a Leviathan in Up, Up and Away!, a mission that IGN says can only be played between 20:00 and 06:00. CJ fights his way through a military fuel depot, clears the guards in a warehouse and on the roof, then uses a gun emplacement to shoot down two gunships. With the area clear, he takes the Leviathan from the helipad.
Next, fly to the blue blip and line up the magnet with the roof of the bank van. Once it attaches, carry the van to the Verdant Meadows Airstrip, drop it in the red marker and land nearby. IGN suggests bringing armour, a sniper rifle and an M4 from Ammu-Nation before you start.
Where to find it
Once the mission is done, IGN says a Leviathan always spawns at the Verdant Meadows Airstrip. It also lists a second spot: Easter Bay Airport, right next to the Raindance helicopter, available after the mission Learning to Fly.
IGN’s general vehicle list adds Easter Basin and Las Venturas Airport, and describes the Leviathan as the most common helicopter, seen at nearly every airport.
How it handles
IGN’s vehicle guide is blunt: everything about the Leviathan is completely average. For a helicopter with weapons, the Pilot School’s Hunter is IGN’s pick as the best in the game.
