The Mountain Bike is the off road bicycle of GTA San Andreas. Find one on top of Mount Chiliad, where the Chiliad Challenge cycling races start.

The Mountain Bike is the bicycle built for rough ground. IGN’s vehicle guide calls it the ultimate in off road cycling, with excellent grip and control that let you ride wherever you like down Mount Chiliad.
Where to find it
IGN lists the top of Mount Chiliad, in Whetstone, as the place to find a Mountain Bike. That is also where the Chiliad Challenge begins.
The Chiliad Challenge
The Chiliad Challenge is a set of three downhill races, and IGN says you need first place in all three for 100 percent completion. You also need a cycling skill of at least 40 percent before you can enter, and a higher skill makes the races easier.
- Course 1, Scotch Bonnet Yellow Route: steep straights and very tight corners. IGN suggests using the handbrake early to swing into turns, and warns that the other riders overtake and bump aggressively. First place pays $500.
- Course 2, Birdseye Winder: a longer course with fewer sharp turns but long straights where you must keep pedalling. Watch for a couple of sharp bends hidden by terrain and trees on the steep section. First place pays $1,000.
- Course 3, Cobra Run: starts partway down the mountain and crosses small wooden structures early on. Take it steady and do not oversteer. First place pays $2,000.
How it handles
IGN praises its grip and control. On the Chiliad courses, IGN’s main advice is to brake early with the handbrake for tight corners and to avoid small changes of direction on the straights, which cost speed and invite collisions.
