No. GTA 6 is not part of Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus. To play it on November 19, 2026 you buy it, digitally or as a boxed copy, on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S.
Confirmed On November 1, 2026, the Microsoft Store listing for GTA VI showed no Game Pass plan that includes it, and the PlayStation Store listing showed a normal price with no PlayStation Plus offer. Not announced Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has said GTA 6 will join either service later.

The only subscription tied to GTA 6 so far is Rockstar’s own. Confirmed Take-Two says digital preorders come with one free month of GTA+, which covers GTA Online perks and the GTA+ Games Library of older Rockstar games. It doesn’t give you GTA 6. More in GTA+ price and rewards.
Do you need Game Pass or PS Plus to play GTA 6?
No. GTA 6 launches as a single player game, and neither store lists a subscription requirement. PlayStation and Xbox ask for a subscription for online multiplayer, and Not announced Rockstar hasn’t announced an online mode for GTA 6 yet. See GTA 6 single player and online.
GTA V on Game Pass: in and out since 2020
GTA V is the best guide to how Rockstar treats subscriptions. It has joined Game Pass four times, always years after release and never for long.

Kotaku pointed out in 2021 that Red Dead Redemption 2 also spent only four months on Game Pass in 2020. Microsoft listed GTA V among the games leaving Game Pass on April 15, 2026, seven months before GTA 6’s release date.
GTA V on PS Plus
On PlayStation, GTA V has gone in and out of the PS Plus Game Catalog in the same way. Its return in November 2025 was its third run on PS Plus, Kotaku noted, after it last left in May 2025.
That run is ending. Kotaku reported on October 14, 2026 that Sony is telling PS5 owners GTA V leaves PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium on November 17, 2026, two days before GTA 6 launches. Sony’s message includes a link to preorder GTA VI.
So in November 2026, GTA V is off Game Pass and about to leave PS Plus. If you want to play it before GTA 6, see which GTA games to play before GTA 6.
Will GTA 6 come to Game Pass or PS Plus later?
Not announced Nobody has said, either way.
Analysis GTA V’s history suggests a long wait. It came out in September 2013 and first reached Game Pass in January 2020, more than six years later, and each stint lasted months, not years. Rockstar has also taken GTA V out of both services in the run-up to GTA 6. We would not plan on GTA 6 joining a subscription in its first years; if you want to play it, budget to buy it. If that changes, we’ll update this page on the day it is announced.
Beware of “free GTA 6 with Game Pass” offers
Any site, video or message promising GTA 6 free with a subscription, or a “Game Pass key” for it, is not genuine. The only official places to get the game are the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store and retailers selling the boxed copy; see where to buy GTA 6.

No. Neither tier includes it, and the PlayStation Store listing shows only a purchase price.
Can I still play GTA V on PS Plus?

Does the free month of GTA+ include GTA 6?
