Leonida Penitentiary
Leonida Penitentiary is the prison where Lucia Caminos served time before the story of GTA 6 begins.

- Part of
- Leonida
According to Rockstar, fighting for her family landed Lucia Caminos in the Leonida Penitentiary, and sheer luck got her out. Her profile says she has learned her lesson and plans to make only smart moves from now on.
What Rockstar has shown
Rockstar’s character page describes one official still from inside a jail: Lucia and another woman, handcuffed and in orange jumpsuits, walking past a window while another woman watches through the glass and an officer stands nearby. Rockstar also calls Lucia fresh out of prison and ready to change the odds in her favour.
In the trailers
Prison features in both story trailers.
- Trailer 1 (December 2023) opens with Lucia apparently behind bars. Asked why she is locked up, she answers “Bad luck, I guess,” as Kotaku reported.
- Trailer 2 (May 2025) shows Jason collecting Lucia as she leaves prison. Rockstar published both characters’ full names, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, the same day.
Rockstar has not said that the prison in either trailer is the Leonida Penitentiary, although Lucia’s profile names no other prison. Our Trailer 1 breakdown and Trailer 2 breakdown cover both scenes.
What we don’t know yet
- Where the penitentiary sits on the map.
- Whether it is a place you can visit, break into, or end up in after an arrest.
- How long Lucia was inside and what she did to get there, beyond fighting for her family.
More details will be added once the game is out.
