Nobody can rank GTA 6’s cars and weapons by stats yet, because Rockstar hasn’t published any. What we can tell you is which ones are confirmed, which have only been spotted, and what you’ll have early: Jason’s own Vapid Ganado, the ‘55 Vapid Stanier if you bought before the deadline, and Ultimate Edition extras that unlock chapter by chapter. Our tested rankings arrive after November 19, 2026.

Every car and gun below links to its page in our database, where each one is labelled. Official means Rockstar named it. Spotted means it is readable or identified in official footage, which isn’t the same as Rockstar confirming it’s drivable.

Early unlocks you can count on

Jason’s Vapid Ganado

Confirmed The Vapid Ganado is Jason’s own low-riding pickup. Rockstar’s screenshots show it outside his safehouse. Ultimate Edition owners also get the Ganado Retro Build mods, listed on Rockstar’s editions page.

The Vintage Vice City Pack (buy before November 20)

Confirmed The Xbox Store listing says purchases made before 19 November 2026, 23:59:59 include:

  • the ’55 Vapid Stanier, a two-tone 1950s sedan
  • the Shore Court garage near Ocean Beach, with a weapon locker and a place to drop stolen goods for the fence
  • a tropical palm print weapon pattern for most guns, plus period outfits and hairstyles

The listing says these items become available as the story progresses. Our preorder bonuses guide covers who qualifies.

Ultimate Edition vehicles and weapons

Confirmed The Ultimate Edition, or the upgrade for Standard owners, adds these. The Xbox Store says Ultimate items are “uncovered behind each chapter”, so they don’t all appear at once.

Cars: confirmed and spotted

Confirmed Seven vehicles in our database are named by Rockstar: the Ganado, Stanier, Cheetah, Dominator Buggy, Squalo, Enduro and Crest Kayak, all above.

Observed Many more have been identified in Rockstar’s trailers and screenshots by outlets such as GamesRadar, PC Gamer and IGN, or by us frame by frame. A few that stand out:

The full list is on our vehicles page. You can put two side by side with the compare cars tool.

Not every car is yours to take on day one

Kotaku reported, from Rob Nelson’s interviews, that some parked cars are off limits until later in the story and until you have the right tools. A Slim Jim only works on older cars, and some cars can’t be started without a key cloner. Early on, you can still pull a driver out of a stopped car, but it may have a tracker. A stolen car also has to be registered and kept in a garage, or it’s gone when the game restarts.

Weapons: confirmed and spotted

Confirmed Rockstar has named the Girardi ES9 (Jason’s pistol), the Klose K17 (Lucia’s) and the Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers in its edition contents.

Observed GamesRadar’s weapons list adds guns seen in Rockstar’s footage:

All of them are on our weapons page.

Early ways to arm up

  • Pick up what enemies drop. In An Extended Look, Jason takes both the Moreland 850 and the Duke 556 from attackers he has downed, as GamesRadar describes.
  • Police car boots. In Edge’s preview, Rob Nelson sneaks up to a police car while officers are busy with an arrest, opens the boot and takes a shotgun.
  • Your car is your armoury. Edge says your whole arsenal is kept in the boot of your car, and the Scooter Bros app delivers your car to you for a small fee.

Not announced Gun shops and weapon prices. GamesRadar expects you’ll buy from Ammu-Nation, trade illegally or find guns on the street, but Rockstar hasn’t confirmed any shop.

Our picks until launch

Analysis These are our reasoned picks, not test results. We’ll replace them with measured top speeds and handling once we’ve played.

  • Best getaway: a fast motorbike. Rob Nelson told IGN, as GamesRadar reported, that escaping three stars in the city by car is hard “unless it’s a very fast vehicle or a sports bike”. Edge’s stinger strip crash shows the risk, so keep to lit roads at night.
  • Best early car: your own. Jason’s Ganado, or the Stanier if you preordered, doesn’t have to be stolen, so there’s no owner to report it. Edge says Scooter Bros can bring your own car to you before a job.
  • Best car for fence jobs: whatever WAINK asks for, delivered without a scratch. Edge says the payment depends on the car’s condition.
  • Best early weapon: a shotgun, if you can get one quietly. Both Edge’s demo and An Extended Look show one turning up early. Keep it on your back rather than in your hands; Edge says people react more to a gun held out.
  • Best Ultimate pick for exploring: the Dominator Buggy for Mount Kalaga trails and the Squalo for the water.

Common questions

What is the fastest car in GTA 6?

Not announced Rockstar hasn’t published top speeds. We’ll measure them after launch and add them to each car page.

Can you buy cars in GTA 6?

Not announced Rockstar hasn’t shown a car dealership or prices. Kotaku reported that WAINK shows what a car costs to register, which is how stolen cars become yours.

Do Ultimate Edition items make the game easier?

Not announced Rockstar hasn’t published stats for them. They also unlock chapter by chapter, so they aren’t all there at the start.
