San Andreas spreads its collectibles across the whole state, and each city has a set of its own. Four sets count toward 100% completion, and every full set pays off with cash, weapons or a stat boost. We do not repeat every location here: IGN and GamesRadar, linked in the sources, map all of them.

Tags

  • Count: 100, all in Los Santos, including Idlewood and Ganton.
  • How: CJ learns to spray over rival tags in the mission Tagging up Turf, and GamesRadar notes that six tags are done during that mission. You need a spray can. IGN says one waits upstairs in CJ’s bedroom.
  • Reward: Molotov cocktails, an AK-47, a sawn-off shotgun and a Tec-9 start spawning at the Johnson House on Grove Street. Grove Street members also carry stronger weapons, and GamesRadar adds a boost to CJ’s respect.

Snapshots

  • Count: 50, all in San Fierro.
  • How: Take a camera (another one appears in CJ’s bedroom, IGN says) and photograph each spot. GamesRadar explains that the marker only shows through the camera lens and that you do not need to save the picture. IGN adds that between 0:00 and 5:00 the markers can be seen without the camera.
  • Reward: $100 per photo, plus $100,000 for all 50. A Micro SMG, a pump shotgun, a sniper rifle and grenades then spawn at the garage in Doherty.

Horseshoes

  • Count: 50, all in Las Venturas.
  • How: Some sit on rooftops or high ledges. GamesRadar recommends the jetpack, which spawns at Verdant Meadows after the airstrip mission Green Goo. A helicopter also works.
  • Reward: Each horseshoe pays $100 and raises Luck, a stat only horseshoes can raise. The full set pays $100,000, maxes Luck, raises sex appeal and spawns an M4, an MP5, a combat shotgun and satchel charges in front of The Four Dragons Casino.
  • Does Luck help at the casinos? The guides disagree. GamesRadar says higher Luck tips the casino odds in your favor, while IGN says Luck plays no part in gambling.

Oysters

  • Count: 50, all underwater. GamesRadar says most lie on the sea floor or under bridges, and a few sit in swimming pools.
  • How: Swim down and grab them. Keep an eye on the air meter early on, before CJ’s lung capacity improves.
  • Reward: $100 each and $100,000 for the set. IGN says the full set also maxes lung capacity and lets CJ date any girlfriend regardless of his sex appeal, including one who has dumped him. See our girlfriends guide.

Unique jumps

IGN counts 70 unique stunt jumps, each paying $500, for up to $35,000. They are not part of 100%. IGN recommends a fast motorcycle for them.

Tips

  • Tags are the best early set. They are all in the first city, and the weapon spawn at home helps for the rest of the game.
  • Grab snapshots during your time in San Fierro, since they are the only set tied to that city.
  • Leave horseshoes until you have the jetpack, unless you have a helicopter.
  • Collect oysters whenever a mission or school puts you near water, rather than in one long swim at the end.
