GTA Vice City 100% completion checklist
Everything that counts toward 100% in GTA Vice City: story, assets, side missions, vehicle jobs, 100 packages, 35 rampages, 36 jumps and 15 robberies.
Key facts
- Hidden packages
- 100
- Rampages
- 35
- Unique stunt jumps
- 36
- Store robberies
- 15
- Assets
- All of them, plus every safehouse
- Time
- About 25 to 30 hours (IGN)
Finishing the story of GTA Vice City gets you well short of 100%. The completion figure also counts the asset businesses, the contact side missions, every vehicle job and three sets of collectibles. IGN’s beginner’s guide sums it up in seven lines: finish the story, finish the extra missions, clear every rampage, buy every property, land all 36 unique stunt jumps, rob every store and collect all 100 hidden packages. The detail below comes from IGN’s wiki and GameSpot’s walkthrough. IGN puts a normal run at 12 to 15 hours and a 100% run at roughly 25 to 30.

Story and contact missions
- The story. Every mission from In the Beginning… to the finale. IGN notes that the last two story missions only open once you own enough assets (see below).
- Assassinations. Mr. Black first calls after Jury Fury, and IGN lists five payphone jobs: Road Kill, Waste the Wife, Autocide, Check Out at the Check In and Loose Ends.
- Gang and contact missions. Love Fist, Mitch Baker, Umberto Robina and Auntie Poulet. IGN warns that once the Cuban and Haitian strands are done, Haitians attack Tommy on sight, so it suggests leaving them until late.
Assets and property
IGN says you need the Print Works plus at least six more assets to open the final story missions, and every asset for 100%. Our money guide lists prices and income.
| Asset | What completes it |
|---|---|
| Pole Position Club | Spend enough on dances (IGN gives $300 on one page and $500 to $600 on another) |
| InterGlobal Films | Four missions, ending with G-Spotlight |
| Boatyard | Checkpoint Charlie |
| Kaufman Cabs | Three missions, ending with Cabmageddon |
| Malibu Club | Four missions, ending with The Job |
| Print Works | Spilling the Beans and Hit the Courier |
| Cherry Popper Ice Cream | Distribution |
| Sunshine Autos | All four import car lists |
| Phil’s Place | Gun Runner and Boomshine Saigon for Phil Cassidy |
Buy every safehouse too. IGN’s safehouse page says all of them are needed for 100%.
Vehicle missions
These start when you press the mission button inside the right vehicle.
| Mission | Target | Reward for the full set (IGN, GameSpot) |
|---|---|---|
| Vigilante | Level 12 | Maximum armor raised to 150 |
| Paramedic | Level 12 | Infinite sprint, $7,200 for the last level |
| Firefighter | Level 12 | Tommy becomes fireproof, $7,200 for the last level |
| Taxi Driver | 100 fares in total | Taxis gain a boost jump |
| Pizza Boy | Level 10 | Maximum health raised to 150, $5,000 |
GameSpot points out that the 100 fares do not need to come in one run. Paramedic, Firefighter and Vigilante do need all 12 levels in one go, according to IGN.
Checkpoint, RC and stadium events
- Chopper checkpoints. GameSpot lists four, in Ocean Beach, Vice Point, Downtown and Little Haiti, each flown in a Sparrow. IGN warns that on some versions the Little Haiti Sparrow may not spawn.
- RC events. Three Top Fun van races, including one with the RC Baron.
- Other checkpoint events. PCJ Playground on a PCJ-600, Cone Crazy, Trial by Dirt on a Sanchez and Test Track. IGN says only the first win of each counts.
- Stadium. The three events at Hyman Memorial Stadium. GameSpot says the doors are open from 20:00 to 24:00. IGN says Hotring needs a first place, while finishing the first Bloodring stage and finishing Dirtring at any time are enough.
- Street races. IGN counts six races, opened through Sunshine Autos.
- Rifle range. The Downtown Ammu-Nation range: IGN and GameSpot both say a score of 45 or more is needed, and it unlocks fast reload.
Collectibles and robberies
- Hidden packages: 100. See our hidden packages guide.
- Rampages: 35. See our rampages guide.
- Unique stunt jumps: 36, according to IGN and GamesRadar. IGN separates these from insane stunts, which can happen anywhere and do not count. Both recommend the PCJ-600. GamesRadar notes that three jumps, its numbers 22 to 24, can only be done during the G-Spotlight mission, so watch for them there.
- Store robberies: 15. Aim a gun at the clerk and wait for the cash. IGN says the Stats screen tracks how many stores you have hit.
Trophies and achievements linked to 100%
The newer releases add trophies and achievements. IGN lists these among the 100% related ones:
| Trophy | What it asks |
|---|---|
| Done it All | Reach 100% completion |
| City Sleuth | Find 100 hidden packages |
| Daredevil | Complete 36 unique jumps |
| Vice City Mogul | Own 10 properties |
| Running Rampant | Finish Vigilante level 12 |
| Somebody Call the Wambulance? | Finish Paramedic level 12 |
| Gun for Hire | Complete all assassination contracts |
| Grand Theft Auto | Deliver every wanted car to Sunshine Autos |
Tips for the last few percent
- Buy property early. Assets pay every day, and the safehouses give you more save points.
- Do Pizza Boy and Vigilante before the rampages. GamesRadar points out that 150 health and armor makes the rampages much easier.
- Clear your wanted level and save before the long vehicle missions. IGN says Paramedic and Firefighter must be finished in one run, so a failure means starting again from level 1.
- Take the unique jumps during G-Spotlight while you are there, so you do not need a second playthrough.
- Check the Stats screen in the pause menu to see what is still missing.
