Vice City hides 100 packages across its two main islands and the three small ones between them. IGN describes them as small green and gold bird shaped figures, and GamesRadar calls them little green tiki statues. You collect one by walking or driving over it. GamesRadar says each pays $100, and every tenth package unlocks a reward. They also count toward 100% completion. We do not copy a full location list here: GamesRadar, IGN and GameSpot, linked in the sources, have numbered maps and screenshots.

The sources agree on the items but not on every detail:

  • Cash at 100. IGN and GamesRadar say $100,000. GameSpot’s walkthrough says $10,000.
  • Where the Hunter appears. IGN says Fort Baxter Air Base. GamesRadar says Fort Baxter and Lance Vance’s house. GameSpot says the helipad in Ocean Beach.
  • Which safehouses get the pickups. IGN names the Ocean View Hotel and the Vercetti Estate. GamesRadar adds the Hyman Condo. GameSpot says the Ocean View Hotel always gets them, but warns that the Hyman Condo only gets the pickups you had already earned when you bought it.

Where they cluster

GamesRadar numbers the packages area by area. The counts below follow its numbered list.

AreaPackagesIsland
Ocean Beach8East island, south end
Washington Beach12East island, middle
Vice Point20East island, north end
Prawn Island5Northern small island
Leaf Links5Middle small island
Starfish Island5Southern small island
Downtown8West island, north end
Little Haiti5West island, middle
Little Havana9West island, middle
Viceport9West island, southeast
Escobar International14West island, southwest

GamesRadar’s Downtown section says it holds 7 packages, but its own numbering for that area runs from 56 to 63, which is 8. The other areas add up to 92, so 8 is the figure that makes 100.

What the spots look like

  • Ocean Beach and Washington Beach: docks, lifeguard huts, the lighthouse steps, pool areas and a few rooftops. One sits inside the Washington Beach police station.
  • Vice Point: the busiest area, with packages in and around North Point Mall, hotel rooftops and the Malibu Club car park.
  • The small islands: five each on Prawn Island, Leaf Links and Starfish Island.
  • Downtown, Little Haiti and Little Havana: rooftops, alleys and stairways. Several need a helicopter or a bike jump.
  • Viceport and the airport: ship decks, hangar roofs, the terminal roof and even the top of a parked airliner. Most of the 14 at Escobar International need height.

Tips

  • Get a helicopter. GamesRadar’s guide opens with that advice, and many of its entries say “accessed by helicopter”. IGN notes that the Hyman Condo in Downtown comes with a helicopter on its roof. A Maverick or Sparrow makes rooftops easy.
  • Or a fast bike. GamesRadar lists bike or car jumps from nearby stairs and ramps as the other way onto several roofs. The PCJ-600 suits this.
  • The police station package. GamesRadar suggests wearing the police uniform you unlock after Cop Land, or grabbing it during No Escape?, to avoid a wanted level.
  • Grab some during missions. GamesRadar points out that a Vice Point rooftop package can be taken during Treacherous Swine, and another rooftop is reached the same way as in The Chase. GameSpot notes packages along the route of a few other missions.
  • Start early. IGN recommends collecting from the beginning, since the armor and weapons save money for the rest of the game. The west island opens after the early hurricane warning lifts, so the east island is the natural first sweep.
  • Save between areas. A save at a safehouse after each district protects your progress if you need to reload.

GameSpot suggests the Hunter or Rhino for breezing through the Vigilante missions, which is one more reason to finish the set. See also our rampages guide and easter eggs guide.
